MOREIRAS HOUSE, a winemaking tradition recovered and restored back in the eighties by the Vázquez Moreiras family in a unique semi-buried winery in Galicia. All this adds to the foundations of the future

in the Ribeiras do Miño, in Saint Martin of SIÓS, municipality of Pantón, is currently the oldest winery in Galicia. We are in a unique location with the best views of PANTON, where the distinction is made MASIDE Castle,
the monastery of SAN SALVADOR DE LAS BERNARDAS
and a few meters away the Aguasantas Spa Hotel.
Unique winery in Galicia dating back to the late 17th century with a semi-buried part, a wine cellar space that serves as a barrel aging, a unique roof, a wine press and a dovecote next to the Winery.
We are part of the RIBEIRA SACRA WINE ROUTE with all kinds of unique experiences that include tastings, guided tours of the winery and vineyards, explanations of production and all its processes.
Currently the winery has 30 hectares of vineyards, most of which are owned, characterized by soils ranging from slate, granite to clay, in order to recover native Galician grape varieties within the diversity of such complex and disparate soils of the SACRED RIVERSIDE.
We are in several subzones such as AMANDI, CHANTADA AND RIBEIRAS DO SIL, Virtually everything inside the famous HEROIC VITICULTURE
which make our wines stand out for their typicality, uniqueness and quality within the Spanish wine-growing sector.

Wine tourism experience at Casa Moreiras, visit to the oldest winery in GaliciaList element 1It consists of a guided tour of the winery (including a visit to the Dovecote, which has been converted into a tasting room), a detailed explanation of the native grape varieties, the care of the vineyard (unique due to its topography) and the different winemaking processes, with a guided tasting of 2 wines. A video showing the origin of the Ribeira Sacra and its spectacular topography and vineyards, as well as the history of the winery. Price per person: €9. Duration of the visit: 45 min. Wine tourism experience at Casa Moreiras, visit to the winery and vineyardEnjoy a unique day walking through the vineyards as we listen to explanations about the different grape varieties, land, climate... We will enjoy views of Pantón from the winery gardens, visit the dovecote, which is used as a tasting room, unique in the area. Afterwards we will go to the winery where they will explain the different processes of making the different wines and finally we will do a commented tasting of 3 wines accompanied by a typical snack from the area with the projection of a video of the origin of the Ribeira Sacra and its spectacular orography and vineyards and the history of the winery. Wine tourism experience at Casa Moreiras, specialized tastingVisit to the winery and commented tasting, allowing participants to discover and identify all the nuances of our wines. The tasting would be of 4 wines from the winery and would be carried out with the winery technician or oenologist.
